Equipment

  • 1 mini muffin tin
  • parchment paper
  • mini muffin liners

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. Unsweetened chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Mix-ins (optional) such as mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or anything else you’d like to add for a bit of extra flavor and texture

Instructions

  • Prep Your Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your mini muffin tin with liners or grease them lightly with butter or non-stick spray. This ensures your brownies won’t stick and are easy to pop out after baking.
  • Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine your unsweetened chocolate and butter. Microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. This can also be done over a water bath on the stove.
  • Mix the Ingredients
Whisk the sugar into the chocolate mixture. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla, ensuring each is incorporated well. Stir in the flour and salt, mixing just until combined. If you’re adding any mix-ins, fold them in last.
  • Bake to Perfection
Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tins, filling each about three-quarters full. This will allow some rise without overflowing. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool and Serve
Let the brownies cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. They’re best served slightly warm, with perhaps a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel.
